Yin Yang ~ Win-Win Balance…Equanimity…Trust

I have done my best, and I continue to do my best, to live by the principle of “win-win”. It has worked really well for me so far, and I trust it always will.

It’s not perfect and sometimes the balance has benefitted others more than me and other times the balance has benefitted me more than others. But in the long run it all seems to balance out and maybe that

is kind of perfect. Let’s call it “flawsome”.

Another birthday approaches – not insignificant. I have never once in my life been 69. I do like the number though. It’s very yin-yang. It also feels like a metaphor for life.

Balance…Win-Win…Trust…

I kind of dance myself between the philosophies of Dylan Thomas: “Do not go gently into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” And Mark Ehrmann from the Desiderata: “Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.”

It is an interesting dance! The great Wayne Dyer also said, “When you dance your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. Its to enjoy each step along the way.”

Well, I (kind of) gracefully surrendered my long hair but you’ll have to pry my loud rock and blues from my cold dead fingers. I’m gonna rock and dance as long as I can and I love and savor every step with gratitude along the way.

Balance, kind of “wabi-sabi”, imperfect perfection, flawsome. Rock meets Beethoven to make Rock Opera. Sweet and sour. Bitter meets sweet in dark chocolate. White chocolate? Sun and moon. Rain and sun get together to make a rainbow. A delicious, exquisite life of so-called opposites.

Balance… I have gratefully learned some things from some awesome, victories and I have thankfully learned a lot of things from some humbling, even devastating, smack downs. I know now that the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat both come and go. “Roll with it baby.”

Balance…Equanimity…Gently down the stream

The wonderful Louise Hay, who left us so much wisdom, gave us a line that I love and now live by: “I intend to make the rest of my life the best of my life.”

In this experiment of my life, what I have learned so far, I share in hopes that it will maybe be useful to you – maybe help you avoid some suffering, maybe help you find some joy and bliss and ecstasy, or even just some relief, balance and peace. A “vibe lift” if you will.

We are all a kaleidoscope of experiences. Thrills, chills and spills that balance out to make us who we are. Every one of us unique. How cool is that?!

Now I don’t know if what I share will or will not add more years to your life. It may, or it may not. But I damn sure know it has added more happy, fun, abundant, graceful, peaceful, love-filled life to my years. Maybe what I share going forward will add some happy mojo to yours too. That is my hope and my intent. And I fully intend to have some more awesome, blissful adventures to share, so stay tuned!

Let’s dance!

Day to day, wherever I am, I offer the best of my love, even if it’s just a smile, and it circulates back to me sometimes far beyond my expectations. And when it doesn’t come back right away – someone doesn’t smile back, or doesn’t say thanks when I hold the door for them or let them in traffic, I still send a blessing anyway because I know that one way or another that kindness, love and positive vibes are never

wasted. I know that those positive vibes are circulating back from somewhere to give me a warm hug sometime or another. It really does!

“Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Keep vibing high! You never know how much someone you randomly encounter may need it.

You might be helping to balance them out. And it helps you too.

When I say I love you, I mean it. And my life is full of awesome win-win and I AM GRATEFUL! Thank you for loving me back. ALOHA!

Balance. Equanimity. Yin-Yang. Win-Win. Trust… 69 BABY! WHAT?! YEAH!!!

Blessings to you,

One Love,

Levi
